It is my endeavor to aid in your quest to answer these questions pertaining to American Sign Language Interpreting . I have been a freelance ASL Interpreter since 1999. I hope that my knowledge, experience, continued education and LOVE for the Deaf Culture will be of assistance to you.

NAD III (National Association of the Deaf)
RID CT and CI (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Interpreting and Transliterating)
Arizona State Licensed
IL State Licensure: Master Level
Indiana State Licensed
Oregon State Licensure - General and Medical
Wisconsin State License
Education
Education
Graduated from Interpreter Training Program in 1999 ~ Waubonsee Community College; Aurora, IL
Continuing Education Units ~ 20 hours per year with an emphasis on ASL Skill Development and Deaf Culture (Power/Privilege/Oppression)

National Level: There is a Federal Law called the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) that was established in 1990 and is constantly being broadened. To view this Law and discern if you fall under any requirements, please view here:
State Level: There are currently 26 states that require Licensure. This list is constantly growing so be sure to check with your State Licensure Board for your state requirements.
